Outlook emails

I am using some code I found of llandale's that emails with dxl (using outlook) in order to automate emails being sent to users. Unfortunately, my company has an outlook addin that brings up a dialog box that you have to push "Send" to actually send the email. I was wondering if there was a way to use vba/ole stuff to either bypass all dialog boxes, or to "hit OK". And btw, the only way to disable the addin is to get an admin to remove it, but I don't think that's one of my choices.

Thanks in advance.

This sort of thing is to protect against viruses/spam that spread through the Outlook Global Address Book.

It sounds like in your case, you actually are seeking a completely automated solution. I don't know exactly what you are doing, but I think the wiser choice is to work with your IT dept to point the DOORS database at an actual mail server, and forgo outlook altogether. There are built-in DXL functions to send mail directly from DOORS. Without knowing more about exactly what you are trying to do, I can only advise you with the above.

Good luck.

It seems unlikely to bypass the dialog, as that would defeat the dialog's purpose, which is to prevent tools from spamming emails.

As per the other post to communicate directly with the email server, you would need to configure your database to support emailing, and use perm "sendEmailNotification()". See here:
sendEMailNotification function thread

This is rather difficult.
